Like it or Not this is Obama’s Market

The stock market has overall gone down since it was announced that Obama was elected president.   Its slightly gone up since he started announcing his economic team.   The problem is that some of them are wrapped up in this Fannie Mae bailout debacle. Lastly appointing Paul Volcker the Fed Reserve Chief appointed by President Carter is all wrong.  Talk about setting us up for high inflation and interest rates – Paul Volcker is the man.

While stocks staged a relief rally leading up to the presidential election, U.S. share indices have mostly been down ever since. Major media accounts would suggest that weak markets have revealed themselves thanks to economic indicators pointing to an unfortunate economic outlook.

The above is an easy explanation, but it’s also a faulty one. If we ignore how inaccurate are the measures of economic health calculated by the federal government, it should also be said that they’re frequently backward looking, and as such, they’re often priced by investors well ahead of their release.

So instead of pricing in the present, stock markets are most useful for offering a snapshot of what things will look like in the future. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson surely isn’t helping the Obama market with his disastrous imposition of TARP, but then it should also be said that Barack Obama is not helping himself.

It was surely gracious of our president-elect to acknowledge that there’s only one president at a time, but the problem there is that his relative quietude until recently has allowed the media to somewhat define what an Obama economic program will look like. Judging by the overall decline in share prices since, investors aren’t impressed.

Master of Disaster – Paul Volcker

Oh no!  This is a nightmare really.  Paul Volcker is the idiot who ran the Federal Reserve during the Carter administration. Hello, 20% interest rates, runaway inflation, and 7.8 % unemployment!!! The spin here is that Volcker helped to tame inflation under ReaganThis is completely false.  He was a holdover from the Carter Administration until Reagan brilliantly appointed Alan Greenspan who led the US through the largest economic expansion in US history.

From Real Clear Markets:

A Carter appointee, Volcker’s attempts to use interest-rate increases to slay inflation in the late ‘70s were met with a great deal more inflation. By February of 1980, with the Fed funds rate at 14 percent, gold hit an all-time high of $875/ounce.

The dollar’s aforementioned fall was of course sped along by another major mistake carried out by Volcker just a few months prior. Correctly recognizing the futility of interest-rate targeting, Volcker shed the latter only to make a fateful decision that would drive the U.S. economy even further into the ditch. Put simply, in October of 1979 Volcker began a three year experiment with Milton Friedman’s monetarism.

Instead of targeting the Fed funds rate, Volcker attempted to target the quantity of money with disastrous consequences. Though inflation is surely a monetary phenomenon as Friedman long noted, with the majority of physical dollars outside these fifty states, attempts to control the quantity of dollars within these fifty states were bound to fail. To the extent that the Fed targeted various aggregates of U.S. money supply lower, this merely meant that dollars in other markets (eurodollars for instance) would fill the shortfall.

Worse, given the Fed’s efforts to control money quantity rather than rates, the Fed funds rate bounced around on a daily basis such that businesses faced an impossible task of raising capital owing to uncertainty about the rate at which they could raise capital. As Charles Kadlec and Arthur Laffer wrote at the time, “the Fed’s action reduced the viability and attractiveness of the dollar,” and as a result its policies “increased the prospects of inflation” in spite of the fact that monetarist targets “resulted in a slower growth in the measured quantity of money.” What the economy needed according to Laffer and Kadlec were “policies that lead to an excess demand for dollars relative to their supply.”

Paul Volcker, [***Spin***]who helped tame runaway inflation during the 1980s during two terms as chairman of the Federal Reserve[***Spin***], has agreed to lead a new White House economic advisory committee for President-elect Barack Obama.

Mr. Volcker, 81, has been providing Mr. Obama advice on the economy for months. After briefly considering him for Treasury secretary, Mr. Obama instead asked Mr. Volcker to lead the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, a panel comprised of officials from a variety of business sectors. The group is tasked with providing Mr. Obama advice for how to jumpstart the economy and stabilize the financial markets.

The First Thanksgiving: A Lesson in Spreading the Wealth Around

Will we ever learn from the past.  The pilgrims tried socialism and it didn’t work.  Here we are hundreds of years later trying it again.  All the Obamabots are about to find out how good they had it under Bush.  From the Heritage Foundation:

Most children learn that the Pilgrims’ salvation at Plymouth Colony stemmed from the generosity of local Indians. And while there is no doubt that the American natives did help the immigrants through some early tough times, it was not until the Pilgrims rediscovered the importance of private property that the colony began to thrive and was able to give thanks for their own blessings. When the Pilgrims first arrived, they attempted a form of, in Gov. William Bradford’s words, “community” or “commonwealth .” In other words, they attempted to “spread the wealth around” by destroying private property and replacing it with a communally owned property system.

The result was disastrous. According to Bradford, this system bred “confusion and discontent” and “retarded much employment that would have been to [the settlers’] benefit and comfort.” Unable to produce their own food, some settlers “became servants to the Indians,” cutting wood and fetching water in exchange for “a capful of corn .” It was not until the colony changed course and allowed the private ownership of farmland that prosperity returned. Bradford reported, “This had very good success for it made all hands very industrious. … [M]uch more corn was planted than otherwise would have been. … Women went willingly into the field, and took their little ones with them to set corn.”

A profoundly religious man, Bradford saw the hand of God in the Pilgrims’ economic recovery. Their success, he observed, “may well evince the vanity of that conceit of Plato’s and other ancients and applauded by some of later times … that the taking away of property … would make [men] happy and flourishing; as if they were wiser than God.” Bradford surmised, “God in his wisdom saw another course fitter for them.

Amen to that.

Is Obama a Natural Born Citizen? No According to 1866 United States vs. Rhodes Case No. 16,151

If the US Supreme Court does not rule according to the Constitution, then a dangerous precedent will be set. A person with allegiance to a foreign country would be able to be the President of the United States.   Please sign this petition asking your representatives to pass a bill requiring any person that wants to run for the presidency to prove their natural born status up front and to pass a security clearance before being allowed to enter the race.

With this one case, we will see does the rule of law set forth by the US Constitution govern this great nation. Have we come so far as to dismiss its wisdom to allow liberal judges to legislate from the bench based on feelings?  Our founders put the requirement in Article II of the Constitution in order to protect this great nation from being weakened or attacked from within.  There is precedence in this case from a case in 1866 United States vs. Rhodes Case No. 16,151. This means that a natural born citizen has to be born in the US and both parents must be US citizens, otherwise the child would have dual citizenship and would be subject to a foreign power.

That all persons born in the United States, and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States; and such citizens, of every race and color, without regard to any previous condition of slavery,”

Explanation from John C. Eastman, Ph.D:

The “subject to the jurisdiction” provision must therefore require something in addition to mere birth on U.S. soil. The language of the 1866 Civil Rights Act, from which the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was derived, provides the key to its meaning. The 1866 Act provides: “All persons born in the United States, and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States.”[3] As this formulation makes clear, any child born on U.S. soil to parents who were temporary visitors to this country and who, as a result of the foreign citizenship of the child’s par­ents, remained a citizen or subject of the parents’ home country was not entitled to claim the birth­right citizenship provided by the 1866 Act.

United States Supreme Court docket no. 08A407, Donofrio v. Wells, is now “Distributed for Conference of Dec. 5th, 2008″ to the full Court meeting in private on that date. The case was the subject of previous sabotage by SCOTUS stay clerk, Danny Bickell (as well as judicial misconduct by NJ Appellate Division Judge Jack M. Sabatino). Bickell, after receiving the emergency stay application which requested extraordinary relief to stay the national election, took it upon himself to deny the application on the very time sensitive date it was filed, Nov. 3, a day before the election day popular vote.

Barack Obama’s own web site is claiming that we had dual citizenship.  Because his father was Kenyan he was a British subject; therefore, Obama held a dual citizrnship of Us and British.  There are other factors was he indeed born on US soil and was his Mother a US citizen.  The laws were different when Obama was born.  It was not as simple as my Mom was born in America so I am a US citizen.  Barack Obama’s web site says the following:

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

When will America Wake Up?

When will America wake up and realize that they were duped by a Marxist.  Someone who uses the bible to enrich himself and gain power.  He says we are our brother’s keeper when his brother in Kenya lives on $12 a year in a hut without running water and dirt floors.  He says we have to give to the least of these while his beloved aunt lives in a Boston slum.  The reality is that Jesus said we as Christians need to give to the poor.  Jesus didn’t say Caesar was suppose to take care of the poor.  Obama is a deceiver.  I ask you when will the average American realize they made a mistake in voting for Barack Obama.  Will they realize it when:

2. Revolution, food shortages, riots, marches
3. Food instead of gifts for Christmas

The scary thing is that Gerald Celente correctly forecasted the 1987 stock market crash, the dot-com bubble, the housing bubble.  Watch this video and see how bad Obama is going to destroy the US economy while blaming it all on Bush.

Obama will silence critics with localism

Obama will silence talk radio with localism not the Fairness Doctrine.  What have to say is I want fair and balanced coverage on PBS, CBS, NBS, ABC, MSNBC, and CNN.  When these shows truly show all sides of an issue and quit covering for Obama, then maybe we can talk about fairness.  How many Obama voters know he campaigned in 57 states and said one bomb was dropped on Hawaii???

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rule in question is called “localism.”  Radio and television stations are required to serve the interests of their local community as a condition of keeping their broadcast licenses.

Obama needs only three votes from the five-member FCC to define localism in such a way that no radio station would dare air any syndicated conservative programming. Localism is one of the rare issues on which Obama himself has been outspoken. On September 20, 2007, Obama submitted a pro-localism written statement to an FCC hearing held at the Chicago headquarters of Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.’s Operation Push.

Furthermore, the Obama transition team knows all about the potential of localism as a means of silencing conservative dissent.  The head of the Obama transition team is John Podesta, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress.

Read the article for yourself.In 2007, the Center for American Progress issued a report, The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio.  This report complained that there was too much conservative talk on the radio because of “the absence of localism in American radio markets” and urged the FCC to “[e]nsure greater local accountability over radio licensing.

Please contact this district attorney who is totally out of line in indicting VP Dick Cheney.  Please express your outrage in this waste of tax payer money.

District Attorney Juan Guerra has brought indictments against several key political officials.

The indictments have not been made public, but NEWSCHANNEL 5 has learned Vice President Dick Cheney, former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, Texas State Senator Eddie Lucio Junio, Judge Migdalia Lopez, Judge Janet Leal, and Willacy County District Clerk Gilbert Lozano were among those indicted.

George Soros setting agenda for president elect Obama?

Read the article for yourself.Who is a major force behind Obama’s new administration?  Well George Soros of course.  Should we be surprised?  No.

Three blocks from the White House, on the 10th floor of a sleek glass building, young workers pound at computers, with giant flat-screen TVs overhead. It has the look and feel of a high-tech startup.

In many ways it is. The product is ideas.

Thanks in part to funding from benefactors such as billionaire George Soros, the Center for American Progress has become in just five years an intellectual wellspring for Democratic policy proposals, including many that are shaping the agenda of the new Obama administration.
