This is important.  A $100 million was supposed to go to public school education and was misdirected to community organizations and Afro-centric studies???  When is the last time you heard about Irish-centric or German-centric studies?  America is a melting pot.  These types of studies are divisive.  Math and Science departments were turned down for funding!  I ask you , what would help these poor income individuals to learn Math and Science or more about their African heritage?  I ask you what would help them pull themselves up out of their poor socioeconomic plight?  Of course the Math and Science education would help these individuals better themselves. But no the foundation that Obama headed said “no” to the Math and Science departments. We already know Obama had his hands in the Fannie Mae debacle.  Now he has misdirected funds that were supposed to go the public schools – not community organizations.  America do you really want this individual as out President.  His track record speaks for itself.  I would hate to see public education under someone who turned down the funding of Math and Science departments when he had a chance to make a real difference.

Do we really want someone who is friends with a known domestic terrorist who wishes to this day they should have done more? Ayers wants to change the US government into a quasi-communist nation.   Is this the kind of change you want America?

New information on the Obama – Ayers relationship and how he and Ayers misdirected $100 million to community organization groups such as ACORN instead of to public education.

Misdirection of funds?  Doesn’t this sound familiar?  At the heart of the economic crisis is Fannie Mae requiring banks to offer loans to low income people.  How about Franklin Raines personally making $90 million in six years while Fannie Mae was cooking the books? Add to this the fact that Obama was number two on the take from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.

Obama, who once represented ACORN in a lawsuit against the state of Illinois, was hired by the group to train its community organizers and staff in the methods and tactics of the late Saul Alinsky. ACORN would stage in-your-face protests in bank lobbies, drive-through lanes and even at bank managers’ homes to get them to issue risky loans in the inner city or face charges of racism.

In the early 1990s, reports Stanley Kurtz, senior fellow at the Ethics and Policy Center, Obama was personally recruited by Chicago’s ACORN to run training sessions in “direct action.” That’s the euphemism for the techniques used under the cover of the federal Community Reinvestment Act to intimidate financial institutions into giving what have been called “Ninja” loans — no income, no job, no assets — to people who couldn’t afford them.

More on the $100 million that was suppose to go to public schools and instead was misdirected to community organizations supported by Obama.

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was created ostensibly to improve Chicago’s public schools. The funding came from a national education initiative by Ambassador Walter Annenberg. In early 1995, Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation’s other key body, the “Collaborative,” which shaped education policy.

CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice.  Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted “leadership training” seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama’s early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education.  CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students.  They found no evidence of educational improvement.
