With $4 a gallon gas, Obama’s energy solution is for you to inflate your tires and change your oil.

There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy. Making sure your tires are properly inflated — simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling — if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much!

Obama’s Capital Gains Tax Increase

Will Obama’s plan to increase the capital gains tax really increase revenue? Will it only affect the rich people? This will greatly affect the middle class who are invested in the stock market through retirement funds. See how increasing the capital gains tax has historically lowered revenue received. Obama has said he may increase the capital gains tax to 28% which is nearly double what it is currently at 15%.

Economic Justice aka Socialism Repackaged

Wake up America, Obama is a socialist! He is a socialist repackaged. We need to remember what this country is about. What the founding fathers and our forefathers fought and died for “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” You want to pay 70% income taxes, then vote for Obama. 75% of Americans want to drill for oil, and Obama doesn’t care and won’t drill. He doesn’t care if you suffer. In fact he wants you to suffer so he can blame it on Bush. Since Economics is not a required class, most Americans don’t have a clue about simple economics 101. Obama and Dems can say stupid ridiculous things like increasing the supply of oil through drilling won’t bring the prices down, and the uneducated masses think he’s right.

During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. “I’ve been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served,” he said at the group’s 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.

And as president, “we’ll ensure that economic justice is served,” he asserted. “That’s what this election is about.” Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn’t have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval.

Economic justice” simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It’s a euphemism for socialism.

Global Cooling

WASHINGTON (Map, News) – It’s been unusually chilly in Anchorage this summer. In fact, temperatures in the Alaskan city have reached 70 degrees only twice this year, compared with 49 times in 2004. A National Weather Service meteorologist predicted that 2008 will likely go down “as the summer with the least number of 65-degree days” on record.

Last week, the scientist who wrote the computer model that monitors Australia’s compliance with the Kyoto Protocol cast serious doubts on whether the Earth is getting warmer at all. David Evans was a consultant to the Australian Greenhouse Office from 1999 to 2005, so he’s no ordinary global warming “denier.” But Evans now says the scientific evidence compiled since 1999 has convinced him that he — and what he calls other global warming “alarmists” — were wrong.

What evidence? The telltale greenhouse signature — a hot spot about 10 kilometers up that would confirm carbon emissions’ role in global warming — has simply not been found, even by hundreds of instruments (radiosondes) that have been monitoring atmospheric temperatures for decades. In fact, Evans says, satellites all say the warming trend ended in 2001, and that the Earth’s temperature actually dropped 0.6 degrees Celsius last year — to what it was back in 1980.

Furthermore, new ice cores dating back a half million years show that temperature rises an average 800 years before there is an accompanying rise in atmospheric carbon, which, Evans says, “says something important about which was cause and which was effect.”

Despite $50 billion spent worldwide since 1990 to avert a man-made climate catastrophe, Evans maintains there is still no scientific evidence that carbon emissions cause significant temperature changes.

Obama’s Socialist Agenda

Great article about the Socialism that is overtaking our nation. Don’t be fooled by the smoke and mirrors that is seen on television. We know someone by the company they keep. Please don’t assume Obama can’t think this way or that because of the way you think. You are projecting your beliefs onto him. The reality is he is a socialist with a marxist background. He told us in his Berlin speech where he said “This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably.” Obama’s Senate bill 2433 is an example of this welfare for the world.

Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Barack Obama will run this country in their mindset. Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we’ve almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake.

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there’s not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.

This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

Obama Talks $12-a-Gallon for Gas

Obama knows that gas can go up to $12 a gallon for gas. Does he have any answers? Will he drill in the US where we have plenty of oil and natural gas? Wake up America and take your country back from the environmentalist radicals who want us all riding buses and living in apartments because its less of a carbon footprint. Of course not for them, Al Gore lives in what a 10,000 square foot house? But no you the masses must bear this burden. Sorry Al I love my house and my car and want the same for my kids. The next new energy will be here, but it will take 10-15 years to get whatever it is to the masses. We need to drill now.

Offshore Oil Rigs During Katrina

None of the oil spills during Katrina had anything to do with the offshore oil rigs. Apparently there were some rigs damaged, but oil was not released from the offshore oil rigs.

As for oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico, Paskewich said the Coast Guard has fielded no reports of offshore spills there, though leaks could spring when the thousands of oil platforms and hundreds of miles of pipeline are restarted. Last year, Hurricane Ivan was responsible for oil spills in the Gulf, he said.

Paskewich dismissed suggestions by an environmental advocacy group that satellite photos showed some 7,000 square miles of oil floating in the Gulf, saying numerous flyovers revealed only minor sheening.

Skytruth, a group that uses satellite imagery to track environmental damage, says extensive oil slicks are visible in areas of the Gulf raked by hurricane-force winds.

“Daily overflights are being conducted to find the real truth of what’s going on,” Paskewich told Reuters. “As for now, I am confident that we have not received any reports of significant oil spills offshore.”
