Global Warming Kook Paid For By George Soros

Posted by rightwinger on June 24, 2008

On the leftist web sites any scientist that speaks out against Global Warming has been bought and paid for by the big Oil companies. Well this kook has been bought and paid for by Heinz (yes, Kerry’s wife), George Soros, and none other than Al Gore himself the inventor of the internet.

James Hansen, Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS)….Hansen now seems to be calling for the chief executives of Big Oil to be tried for high crimes against humanity. Their crime? Spreading doubt about global warming.

Actually, it is Hansen who is guilty. Guilty of abusing the public trust. Examine the largess culled by Hansen.

In 2001, the Heinz Foundation “awarded” James Hansen with a payment of $250,000 for his work on global warming. According to the foundation: “It was Dr. Hansen who, in the sweltering, drought-scorched summer of 1988, went where few scientists were willing to go-before Congress, to explain just how serious the potential for global warming truly was.” The Heinz Foundation, directed by the wife of U.S. Senator and former presidential candidate, John Kerry, is widely known for its support of liberal causes. Is it any surprise that James Hansen also endorsed John Kerry for President in 2004? The quarter of a million was just a tease of additional monies to come.

In 2007, Hansen split a $1 million prize from the Dan David prize category of “Future Quest for Energy” (layman’s translation: a world without oil). In addition he also reported to have acted as a consultant to Gore’s global whining slide show, which was the impetus to the Prince of Peace’s film, “An Inconvenient Truth.” In fact, in 2006 Hansen had the gall to appear on a New York City stage with Mr. Gore to promote the then upcoming film-though he did reportedly inform the audience, “I’m not speaking as a government employee.”

Topping it all, Hansen has allegedly received hundreds of thousands of additional dollars to further politicize the issue of global warming. According to Investors Business Daily, “How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely ‘NASA whistleblower’ standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by [George] Soros’ Open Society Institute (OSI), which gave him ‘legal and media advice’? That’s right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros’ flagship ‘philanthropy’ by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI’s ‘politicization of science’ program.” Hansen denied any relationship with OSI, but Investor’s Business Daily refused to back off on their story, “claiming the funding first passed through the Government Accountability Project, which then used it to package Hansen for the media.”

What??? Sounds like Communism to me

Posted by rightwinger on May 21, 2008

What’s next how many kids you have??? Who is Obama to tell me I can’t drive an SUV or eat what I want. Instead of drilling in North Dakota, he wants to tell us what temperature I can set my A/C on. I’ve got an idea. Why doesn’t Obama move to Russia and run for president there!!!

Big Oil

Posted by rightwinger on May 13, 2008

Cal Thomas’ article on Big Oil doesn’t even address the huge oil find in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Canada recently found. Maybe once our standard of living goes down in the US because of high oil prices, we’ll take back our country from the environmentalists.

Robertson said there would be plenty of oil available to the United States if the oil companies were allowed to get it: “Eighty-five percent of offshore oil is off-limits.” Responding to objections to offshore drilling by environmentalists and their allies in Congress, Robertson noted that some of the strongest pro-environment nations in Europe — he mentions Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom — lease offshore locations for oil exploration. The technology has become so good, he said, that during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, “one thousand offshore wells were destroyed (in the Gulf of Mexico), but not one leaked.” Australia, he said, has allowed offshore drilling for 40 years without any environmental damage.

According to government estimates, there is enough oil in areas accessible to America — 112 billion barrels — to power more than 60 million cars for 60 years. The Outer Continental Shelf alone contains an estimated 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Had President Clinton not vetoed exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in 1995, when oil was $19 a barrel, America would currently be receiving more than 1 million barrels a day domestically, all of it taken by better technology than existed more than 30 years ago. That was when the Alaskan pipeline was built despite protests from environmentalists who claimed it would destroy the caribou. It didn’t, but the environmentalists are back with the same discredited arguments. Because most of the oil remains “off-limits,” we are becoming more dependent on foreign oil.

No, we can’t “drill our way out” of our addiction to oil, but we can make the transition to other energy sources easier while lessening our dependence on foreign oil and propping up dictators who use our money to subsidize terrorists. A slow transition will also give us time to consider more fuel-efficient cars and greater use of public transportation, even bicycles for short trips. Bikes would help more of us lose weight and get in shape. A friend bikes to work every day, saving gas, car payments, insurance and repair costs.

McCain said what about Global Warming?

Posted by rightwinger on May 13, 2008

What is McCain talking about? Bigger government and higher taxes is what this global warming junk science is about. Look at Al Gore getting rich off bogus carbon credits. All of the presidential nominees want this. How does this differentiate McCain from Clinton and Obama? Great, now McCain is doing the same as Al Gore’s carbon credits, but for industry and nations.

As a program under the Clean Air Act, the cap-and-trade system achieved enormous success in ridding the air of acid rain. And the same approach that brought a decline in sulfur dioxide emissions can have an equally dramatic and permanent effect on carbon emissions. Instantly, automakers, coal companies, power plants, and every other enterprise in America would have an incentive to reduce carbon emissions, because when they go under those limits they can sell the balance of permitted emissions for cash. As never before, the market would reward any person or company that seeks to invent, improve, or acquire alternatives to carbon-based energy. It is very hard to picture venture capitalists, corporate planners, small businesses and environmentalists all working to the same good purpose. But such cooperation is actually possible in the case of climate change, and this reform will set it in motion.

Listen to how green tariffs being talked about by all the Presidential Candidates could cause your standard of living to go down the same as “your house burning down”.

Read about what an NASA scientist has to say about this:

McCain pointed to shrinking Arctic sea ice and collapsing Antarctic ice shelves as obvious evidence that humans are to blame, even though the sea ice did the same thing in the 1920s and 1930s, and those ice shelves must break off eventually, as new glacial ice flows toward the sea to take their place.

Even though there has never been a single scientific paper published that has ruled out natural variability for most of the warming we’ve seen since 1850, Big Science has managed to convince politicians and much of the public that the science is settled. Apparently, our addition of nine molecules of carbon dioxide to each 100,000 molecules of air over the last 150 years can now be blamed for anything and everything we choose. Hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves, floods, glaciers flowing toward the sea…. all of these used to happen naturally, but no more.

The warming that allowed the Vikings to farm in Greenland 1,000 years ago was surely natural. But we are now told that warming in Greenland today is surely manmade. Glaciers retreating in western Canada have revealed evidence of previous forests, showing that warming and cooling cycles do indeed occur, even without SUVs. Yet the SUV is now the scapegoat for retreating glaciers.

Global Warming takes a pause?

Posted by rightwinger on May 3, 2008

So global warming may stop temporarily? I thought temperatures were going up so fast that we were doomed. This global warming stuff is a joke. Come on the weather people can’t even predict the weather accurately 5 days out. Now they are saying it will cool until 2015 and then warm up. I won’t forget this and in 7 years we’ll revisit their prediction.

Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act

Posted by rightwinger on April 11, 2008

Way to go Bachman on the “Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act”. Americans of all people should be able to choose freely the kind of light bulb they use. The fact that florescent bulbs contain Mercury, and you have to call HAZMAT if one breaks makes it even more outrageous. How many people actually recycle their florescent bulbs? To show how ridiculous the Environmentalists are, what is all that Mercury in our landfills going to do? Read more about the “Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act”

Bad Science Behind Global Warming Exposed

Posted by rightwinger on April 7, 2008

Read John Coleman’s explanation as to why man made global warming is a hoax. John Coleman has done extensive research on the science behind man made global warming, and proves it is a hoax. Its all about raising taxes and bad people getting rich. Carbon credits are the biggest scam ever. A carbon credit means you can continue to live your big carbon lifestyle ex. Gore’s mansion. Its ok because you can buy carbon credits from Al Gore’s company to offset your carbon usage.

Accuweather Meteorologist Refutes Gore

Posted by rightwinger on March 30, 2008

This is great. Another reputable weather man refutes Gore on his global warming hoax. See the article for yourself

Joe Bastardi says the following ” UNBELIEVABLE: Gore to 60 MINUTES: Doubting Global Warming Is Manmade Like Believing Earth Is Flat.

“I am absolutely astounded that someone who refuses to publicly debate anyone on this matter and has no training in the field narrated a movie where frames of nuclear explosions were interspersed in a subliminal way in scenes of droughts and flood, among other major gaffes, can say these things and then have them accepted… by anyone. “

” I want to say that I have tried my best to be opened minded about this issue. But the more research I do, the more some of the claims of Bill Gray and John Coleman ring true.

However, I am all for non-carbon based energy as a way of increasing the quality of life, and that has nothing to do with what I consider grossly overstated scare tactics. Let me direct you to a site to keep an eye on: http://www.francis.edu/ActionCenter.htm I have been told they are developing some kind of home-based energy generator powered by wind. The idea is you store the energy created by wind. Given I live in the Boulder, Colorado of the East, count me in. As it is, we are getting a house with a geothermal unit in it that cuts electric bills by up to 50%. So I don’t need to hear I am some kind of nut that thinks the Earth is flat, especially from a man who refuses to stand up one-on-one with anyone that can confront him fact for fact.”
